Professional Background
Professor Potty is also known as Alan Vandome, one of the UK’s premier magicians. He has been a professional magician and entertainer all of his life.
His career on stage is impressive. Performing in cabaret with his wife, their award winning international illusion act has appeared on the most exclusive cruise ships; at The Magic Castle in Hollywood, USA and on numerous guest appearances for the Magic Circle in London - including a prestigious engagement on the Magic Circle Christmas Show. These are just a few highlights of a magical career that has taken him around the world.
Alan is a multi award winning magician and a Gold Star member of the Inner Magic Circle. Gold Star membership is only by invitation of the President, in recognition of magical ability and is limited to around 300 members worldwide. It truly is a great honour for Alan.
Awards include; The British Magical Champions of Illusion, The Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year (3rd place), The Lewis Ganson Memorial Award, as well as many others. He is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (British Ring) and the British Actors’ Equity Association.
After 10 years performing on luxury cruise liners, he now prefers doing what he enjoys most… entertaining children.
